Two thoughts for the day and a picture.

Oh, if only days lasted for longer than 24 hours; we didn’t need to sleep, do chores and some of us were actually organised!

I don’t pop up on here, nor my sister blog Write Dorne, as often as I would like. So, here’s two thoughts for today.

If nothing else I make sure of the dirty feet, messy hair and sparkling eyes.

Join me in having dirty feet today and look for the joy in life. Turn off the telly and radio. Back away from that newspaper and leave the gloomers and doomers to their own misery. Yes, the world is going mad… in parts; but, there are some good things out there.

And I’m off to find them, in my usual messy way…coming?

See the beauty: the sun doesn’t need to always shine.

WP_20160412_16_43_50_Pro_edited trees 9Just checking in with some images I got the other day, whilst out walking my faithful greyhound,

It was a grey day and the heavens had opened…on my poor hubby on his mobility scooter!

But afterwards, there was a wonderful light. So I took some pictures.

That’s it for now.

I apologize for being rather absent from here of lately. I will try to keep up: famous last words!

Thanks for stopping by.

A danse macabre for Halloween week.

With my lantern at the ready I’m getting in the mood for Samhain/Halloween, at the weekend. I found this rather clever video, with, what I have always thought to be cracking spooky music. The dark nights may be here, but there’s plenty of fun to be had. Come out of the shadows and join in. I’m not that scary. Oh, okay then…I am!

S0, how do you celebrate this time of the year?

Do you make a lantern?

Or do you hide inside – away from the trick or treaters?

Thanks for dropping by here and have a great day.

Until the next time.

Chilled out ironing.

I have a monster of an ironing pile to work my way through. So, I’m going to drink Earl Grey tea, kick off my shoes and listen to some chill out music, whilst I iron out those creases. (Why do we do this? We stuff them in the wardrobe, they get creased up again and we’re back at the ironing board? We can’t venture out looking creased! )

I’ve been hunting for suitable chill out music and have come across this. I reckon it’s too beautiful not to share.

Do you have any ironing to do? Why not join me and listen to /watch this? The ironing won’t get done, will it? Because there are plenty more like this : which just have to be watched. Oh dear!

Thanks for dropping by and have a great Sunday, ironing or otherwise.

Until the next time.

My autumn: a video, music and me just playing.

Sometimes I like to just play around… it’s good for the soul: and this blog is all about the inner child.

I love autumn… in all of its glory.

The mist, sunrises, sunsets, early frosts, the coming and going of birds, the dramatic animal shows and of course nature’s spectacular splash of colour.

I may be called Dorne and yes, it is pronounced dawn, but, I am not a true morning person. So, some of these shots are absolute miracles, as they were taken at dawn.

Here’s a short video, with an original track I’ve put together. I don’t think Mr Speilberg has anything to worry about!

Hope you enjoy and thanks for taking the time to drop by here.

Until the next time.
